Hydrangea Series

Hydrangeas have always been a bit of an obsession and again have a nostalgic relationship to my childhood.   I gained much pleasure observing them in my mother’s garden.

They were a popular plant in the 1950s and I also admired them in many of the surrounding gardens in the summer on my walk to school.   The pleasure could have also been tinged with thoughts of the pending holidays and Christmas.   Nevertheless they are a generous plant and I am attracted to that spirit in anything!!
